More energy, better recovery
The training works on the power plants of your cells. Many clients report more energy in everyday life and faster recovery.

Intermittent hypoxia-hyperoxia training in Baden-Baden with the Mitovit system: about 40 minutes of relaxed breathing while your body trains as if it were in the mountains.
Through a mask you breathe low-oxygen air (9 to 18% O₂) and oxygen-rich air (up to 30% O₂) in turns. This creates altitude stimuli from 1,200 to 6,750 metres without taking a single step.
Short, controlled oxygen stimuli prompt your cells to break down weakened mitochondria and build new ones. The science behind this was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2019.
The device continuously adjusts the oxygen to your blood saturation. I look after you personally, from the first measurement to the last session.
No exercise, no sweating. You lie down, breathe, and your body does the work.
We talk about your goals and your health. In the first session the device automatically measures how your body responds to less oxygen.
You lie comfortably on the lounger and breathe through your own personal mask. Two pulse oximeters continuously measure your oxygen saturation and pulse.
About 5 minutes of low-oxygen mountain air, then about 3 minutes of recovery with oxygen-rich air. This repeats for about 40 minutes. Many people read, listen to music or doze off.
The device records every session. After your course you receive a report on each session with saturation, pulse and progress, and we go through it together.
After the session you get up and carry on with your day. For a noticeable effect I recommend 10 to 15 sessions, two to three per week.

Your blood carries oxygen. During the session we lower it under control and bring it back again.
Oxygen saturation shows how much oxygen your blood is carrying right now. At rest it is usually 96 to 99%.
Before training we decide together how far your saturation may drop. That is your target saturation, here 85% as an example.
Through the mask you breathe air with less oxygen, like high up in the mountains. Your saturation drops slowly and under control.
Two sensors measure continuously. The device adjusts the air so that you stay at the target and do not fall below it. This stimulus is the actual training.
Then comes oxygen-rich air. Within a short time your blood is fully saturated again. This cycle repeats about five times.
The lower the target, the stronger the altitude stimulus. Beginners start more gently, experienced users go lower. We set your value together.
A look inside your cells, in three steps. From the oxygen in the air you breathe to the power plants of your cells.
In the altitude phase the oxygen in your blood drops in a controlled way. The cells detect this through the protein HIF, the oxygen sensor whose discovery won the Nobel Prize in 2019.
The body responds with adaptations: weak mitochondria are broken down and new ones are built. Blood formation and vessels are stimulated too, much like during a stay in the mountains.
In the recovery phase you get oxygen-rich air until you are fully saturated again. The alternation trains your adaptability and your nervous system calms down.

The training works on the power plants of your cells. Many clients report more energy in everyday life and faster recovery.
The recovery phases promote the activity of the vagus nerve, measurable via heart rate variability.
IHHT can support fat metabolism, as a complement to diet and exercise.
Efficient mitochondria are considered key to vitality in later life. The training is gentle and requires no physical effort.
Altitude stimuli without an altitude camp: to prepare for competitions and to recover faster between hard sessions.
IHHT is a wellness and training service and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Effects vary from person to person.

William G. Kaelin, Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe and Gregg L. Semenza received the Nobel Prize for discovering how cells sense oxygen levels and adapt to them.
For your treatment I use the Mitovit system. Developed in Germany and also used in elite sport.
Your saturation is measured by two sensors. You see your values live, and so do I.
The oxygen is continuously adjusted to your body, smoothly between 9 and 30%.

“Elite sport taught me how much recovery matters.”
I'm Michael Kolganov. As a kayaker I competed at three Olympic Games, won bronze in Sydney 2000 and am a two-time world champion. Today I work as a coach. Training, recovery and the right dose of load have been part of my whole life. That is exactly the experience I bring to every IHHT session.
A session takes about 40 minutes. Start with a trial session and decide afterwards, without any pressure.

Most people find it very relaxing. During the altitude phases you breathe a little deeper, and some feel a slight tingling. The intensity is controlled so that it stays comfortable for you.
10 to 15 sessions are recommended, with two to three appointments per week. After that you can keep training with a monthly plan, with two or four sessions per month.

The session itself takes about 40 minutes. For your first appointment, allow a little extra time for the consultation and the hypoxia test.
The device monitors your oxygen saturation and pulse continuously with two sensors and adjusts the air automatically. I'm there for you during the session.
No. You lie down for the entire session. IHHT is also well suited to people who can't or don't want to move much.
Beforehand we agree on the blood oxygen saturation you will train down to. The device lowers the oxygen in the air you breathe until this value is reached and then adjusts automatically so you stay exactly there. During recovery you get oxygen-rich air, but only until you are fully saturated again.
Yes. The device records every session. After your 10- or 15-session course you receive a report on each session and we go through it together.
